What is POLTEXT?

POLTEXT is an international and interdisciplinary symposium on the application of natural language processing techniques in social science research, called quantitative text analysis. The first POLTEXT conference was held in Dubrovnik, Croatia, supported by the European Union in 2016. The second POLTEXT Incubator Workshop was hosted by the Centre for Social Sciences, Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Budapest, Hungary in 2018.

When will it happen?

The next POLTEXT will be held on 14 and 15 September 2019.

Where will it happen?

POLTEXT 2019 will be hosted by the Institute for Advanced Study, Waseda University, which is located in center of the city.

Who can participate?

POLTEXT is open to the public, but we will ask for prior registration, which will open in June 2019. If you wish to present, please submit your abstract.

Who are the organizers?

POLTEXT 2019 is organized by Kohei Watanabe (Institute for Advanced Study, Waseda University), Miklós Sebők (Centre for Social Sciences, Hungarian Academy of Sciences) and Lisa Lechner (University of Innsbruck).
